Kedarnath: The hump of the bull.

Tungnath: The arms. World's highest Shiva temple (3,680m). Accessible via a 4 km trek from Chopta.

Rudranath: The face. The most difficult trek in this circuit (approx. 20 km one way).

Madhyamaheshwar: The navel. Famous for its high-altitude meadows (Budha Madhyamaheshwar).

Kalpeshwar: The hair. The only temple in the circuit opens year-round

Ideal for those who prefer less strenuous trekking compared to Panch Kedar.

• Adi Badri: A complex of 16 ancient stone temples near Karnaprayag.
• Vriddha Badri: Located in Animath; believed to be where the idol was worshipped before Badrinath.
• Yogadhyan Badri: Located in Pandukeshwar; where King Pandu is said to have meditated.
• Bhavishya Badri: A 6 km trek from Subhain near Joshimath; believed to be the future seat of Badrinath.

• Hemkund Sahib (Sikhism): The highest Gurudwara in the world.

  • It sits beside a glacial lake surrounded by seven mountain peaks.
• Kainchi Dham (Nainital): The ashram of Neem Karoli Baba. It has seen a massive surge in global visitors (including tech leaders) and is perfect for a serene, less physically demanding retreat.
• Jageshwar Dham (Almora): A cluster of 124 ancient stone temples in a dense deodar forest. It is one of the most peaceful meditation spots in Kumaon.
• Panch Prayag: The five sacred river confluences (Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandprayag, and Vishnuprayag).
